Inviting Gardens was born when a deep-seated interest became the wings that would lift me to a new phase of life. It is a constant reminder of commitment, perseverance and reward.
Born and raised in Western New York, my most vivid garden memories are fragrant roses, pendulous lilacs, and vibrant orange tiger lilies. Our yards were small but full of the allure of summer life. The window of time for gathering outside with family and friends was never long enough. Colorful mounds would became frozen earth and dormant hints of what lie beneath snow. Reliably though, things always returned in splendor. As snow melted, the signs of new life and warmth invited us back outside to begin again.
The lure of seasonal beauty has it's own form In the summer-dry landscapes of California. Winter flowering natives, seasonal grasses, and pockets of deciduous gardens offer year-round reminders that with change comes growth and prospects of a fresh start.
Wishing you good health & joy!
Christine
